Senior Risk Consultant

You will be collaborating with Verisk in the role of Senior Risk Consultant based in Hyderabad, India, specifically in the Extreme Event Solutions team at Verisk, formerly known as AIR Worldwide. Your primary responsibility will be to support clients in India by leveraging your expertise in extreme event management products to enhance their modeling workflow and risk comprehension. The goal is to provide exceptional service and assistance to ensure clients maximize the value derived from the products and services they acquire from us. As a member of the Business Development and Client Services (BDCS) Team, your role will involve a diverse set of tasks. These include preparing Facultative and Treaty data for various countries and regions for modeling purposes, where you will need to utilize your knowledge of Insurance & Re-insurance policy conditions and analyze client exposure data against different perils. Your duties will also encompass quantifying natural catastrophe risk using catastrophe modeling software, ensuring timely delivery to clients, and preparing reports as per client requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing deliverables, assigning tasks to team members, auditing and reviewing their work, overseeing workflow in the absence of the Team Lead/Manager, addressing client queries, and exhibiting attention to detail and effective communication skills. Furthermore, your role will entail: - Conducting a wide range of risk analyses to support consulting projects and client assistance. - Providing day-to-day client support by assisting them in using Verisk's software platforms and understanding catastrophe models and their outputs. - Responding promptly to client inquiries and collaborating with internal teams for swift and accurate resolutions. - Facilitating the onboarding process for new clients, including training, workflow design, and addressing challenges related to Verisk's adoption. - Collaborating with business development and senior management teams to establish and maintain client-specific performance objectives. - Supporting the sales efforts of the business development team in a technical and pre-sales support capacity. - Acting as a representative of Verisk to clients and prospects. Qualifications: - 6+ years of experience in the catastrophe modeling industry. - Previous experience in (re)insurance companies or brokering firms. - Proficiency in Verisk's Touchstone / TS Re software. - Familiarity with interpreting CAT Modeling losses and policy structure in the (re)insurance industry. - Strong attention to detail, superior communication skills, and solid analytical and quantitative abilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL. - Programming skills in SQL, R, Python are advantageous.
