Senior Research Fellow (Behavioral Sciences & AI)

Role Overview: Join an exciting international collaboration as a Senior Research Fellow in Behavioral Sciences & AI with T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) in Manipal, India and the Max Planck Institute for Human Development (MPIB) in Berlin. You will work on an interdisciplinary project exploring the use of large language models (LLMs) to enhance risk communication in behavioral decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Design and conduct behavioral experiments - Develop and assess LLM-based risk communication tools - Collaborate on research papers for top-tier journals - Participate actively in academic events and workshops Qualifications Required: - Completed, submitted, or nearing completion of a PhD in psychology, cognitive science, behavioral economics/finance, computer science, or related fields - Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, STATA - Experience in behavioral experiments and/or computational modeling - Strong literature review and scientific synthesis skills Additional Details: This joint position offers international collaboration with experts in the field, computational and experimental research opportunities, a fully funded research exchange at MPIB in Berlin, and mentorship from faculty at TAPMI, MPIB, and the Harding Center for Risk Literacy.
