Senior R&D Engineer - Substation Automation

As a Verification and Validation Engineer at Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) in Bangalore, you will play a vital role in the development of protection and control products for power generation, transmission, and sub-transmission network applications. Your responsibilities will include participating in test core team workshops, developing test cases, performing software/domain test activities, and ensuring top-notch product quality through innovative verification and validation processes. You will be involved in the end-to-end R&D testing of bay-level solutions, supporting software tools, and enhancing verification and validation processes using innovative automation paradigms and tools. Collaboration with different product stakeholder groups, effective communication skills, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python/Java/C# are essential for this role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 3-8 years of practical experience in Substation Automation. Technical expertise in the field of protection and communication protocols used in substations, knowledge of computer networks including OSI Layers and different protocols, along with proficiency in spoken and written English language are required. Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, especially the Agile development method, is a plus.
