Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Python & Playwright automation)

Job Requirements

Job Summary:

QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Playwright.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality standards.
• Design, build, and implement test frameworks and tools for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Analyze test results, log defects, and verify bug fixes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for test automation.
• Continuously improve the automation framework and testing processes.
• Ensure proper documentation of test cases, plans, and reports.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing using Playwright.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Software Test Engineer with a focus on automation.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation testing.
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test frameworks like pytest, unittest, or similar.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests in the pipeline (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with debugging, logging, and troubleshooting test failures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
• Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman or REST-assured.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
