Role & res About the Role: We are looking for a talented and highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer (QE) with extensive experience in Automation Testing . The ideal candidate will be proficient in automation tools like Selenium , TestComplete , Java , PostgreSQL , and have solid knowledge of testing Web APIs . The Senior QE Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Key Responsibilities: Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web applications, APIs, and databases using tools like Selenium, TestComplete, and other relevant automation frameworks. Test Strategy: Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies and ensure that the automation efforts align with the overall project goals. Test Execution and Reporting: Execute automated test cases, track results, identify issues, and provide detailed reports on test progress and outcomes. API Testing: Perform Web API testing using automation frameworks, ensuring the APIs are functional, reliable, and performant. Database Testing: Write and execute SQL queries in PostgreSQL to verify data integrity, and perform database validation tasks. Performance and Regression Testing: Develop and run performance and regression tests to assess application performance and validate system stability after changes. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical insights on the quality assurance process. Mentoring: Provide guidance to junior QA engineers, assisting them with automation script development and test best practices. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and tools, keeping up to date with the latest trends in automation testing. Key Skills and Qualifications: Automation Testing Tools: Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver (Java-based) for automated UI testing. Experience with TestComplete for functional and regression testing automation. Programming Languages: Strong hands-on experience in Java for writing and maintaining automation scripts. Web API Testing: Knowledge of web API testing frameworks (e.g., REST Assured, Postman). Database Skills: Experience in working with PostgreSQL to write complex SQL queries for database validation. Test Automation Frameworks: Experience with popular test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit). CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or other version control systems. Bug Tracking: Experience with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA , TestRail , or similar. Performance Testing: Familiarity with performance testing tools and approaches (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
