Senior QA Engineer (Playwright)

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, your role involves reviewing product requirements and technical documentation to create detailed test cases for functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing. You will execute manual test cases and automate high-value scenarios using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript. It is important to maintain and enhance the existing test automation suite for front-end and API layers, as well as write and maintain API test scripts using tools like Axios. Additionally, you will run backend validation checks using common database tools, report defects with detailed steps, and collaborate with the development team to triage issues and reproduce bugs. Participation in Agile ceremonies, providing QA estimates, and ensuring test coverage and quality gates during CI/CD deployments are also key responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Review product requirements and technical documentation to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases. - Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing. - Automate high-value test scenarios using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript. - Maintain and enhance the existing test automation suite for front-end and API layers. - Write and maintain API test scripts using Axios or similar tools. - Run backend validation checks using common database tools and queries. - Report defects with detailed steps and logs and verify fixes. - Collaborate with the development team to triage issues and reproduce bugs. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide QA estimates and input during sprint planning. - Ensure test coverage and quality gates are upheld during CI/CD deployments. Requirements: - 3-5 years of experience in software QA with hands-on experience in manual and automation testing. - Solid experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end automation. - Strong skills in TypeScript/JavaScript programming. - Familiarity with API testing using tools like Axios, Postman, or Playwright fixtures. - Understanding of backend/database testing and basic SQL. - Experience working in Agile teams and contributing actively to sprints. - Comfortable working with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions. - Ability to work independently with strong ownership of assigned modules.
