Description
As a Senior QA Engineer at JigNect Technologies Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing, executing, and managing comprehensive functional test cases based on business and technical requirements. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand system functionality and user requirements. - Conducting manual testing to validate software functionality, usability, and business logic. - Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using defect management tools, ensuring their resolution. - Performing regression testing to validate bug fixes and prevent issues in future releases. - Validating UI/UX, performance, and compatibility across multiple platforms and devices. - Executing API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to ensure backend service reliability. - Contributing to requirement analysis, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement. - Assisting in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with business users. - Working within an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. - Staying updated with emerging trends, testing techniques, and best practices in software quality assurance. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience as a Functional QA Engineer or in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Experience in writing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios. - Proficiency with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Trello. - Basic SQL knowledge for database validation and data verification. - Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar platforms. - Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. - Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. - Exposure to performance and security testing is a plus. - Familiarity with automation tools (such as Selenium) is an advantage but not mandatory.
