Role Overview: As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Ciena, you will be part of the AI/ML engineering team in Gurugram. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality, security, and reliability of Ciena's next-generation AI-powered network automation solutions. By designing and implementing advanced test strategies, you will contribute to the delivery of intelligent and resilient products to customers worldwide. Collaborating closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams, you will play a crucial role in detecting issues proactively and enhancing performance and trust in AI. Key Responsibilities: - AI Agent & Application Testing: Design and execute targeted tests for LLM-powered AI agents and applications using various testing methods such as functional, performance, security, and usability tests, tailored to address AI/ML-specific challenges. - Adversarial & Edge Case Testing: Develop simulations and stress tests to identify edge cases and strengthen AI models against unexpected or malicious inputs like RAG poisoning and prompt injection. - RAG & Knowledge Base Validation: Evaluate the accuracy, efficiency, and security of RAG pipelines and knowledge integrations. Collaborate with teams to resolve performance issues and prevent information leakage. - Prompt Engineering: Create, refine, and test effective LLM prompts. Monitor model responses for accuracy, bias, and security risks, and contribute to prompt libraries and AI/ML model fine-tuning. - Research & Development: Stay updated with AI/ML validation trends, tools, and standards. Evaluate new techniques and promote best practices within Ciena. Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML test engineering, preferably for cloud-based solutions. - Additional professional experience in software development, test engineering, or related technical roles showcasing leadership in complex validation initiatives. - Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and validation techniques. - Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for test automation. - Hands-on experience with APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and database systems like SQL. - Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools for large datasets.
