Senior PWA Developer/Sr JavaScript Developer

Role Overview

As a Senior PWA Developer at BitCot, you will lead the design and development of Progressive Web Applications that deliver native app-like performance on the web. Youll work closely with our design, backend, and DevOps teams to build responsive, secure, and scalable PWAs that power some of our most exciting client projects, including Evolus boutique digital storefronts and other enterprise grade platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of Progressive Web Apps using React.js or Angular.
• Implement service workers, caching strategies, push notifications, and offline first capabilities.
• Ensure cross browser compatibility, responsiveness, and top-tier performance.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and project managers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Optimize build and deployment pipelines using Webpack, Vite, or CI/CD tools.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and manage application state using Redux, MobX, or other libraries.
• Ensure best practices in security, accessibility, SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to improving overall development standards.
• Stay up to date with emerging front end technologies and advocate for innovation within the team.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in front end development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS).
• Proven experience in building PWAs using Angular, React.js, or Vue.js.
• Deep understanding of service workers, web manifests, and offline caching.
• Experience with API integration, authentication, and state management.
• Solid grasp of web performance optimization, Lighthouse metrics, and Core Web Vitals.
• Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies, and DevOps workflows.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience deploying PWAs on AWS, Firebase, or similar cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Next.js, Node.js, or server-side rendering (SSR).
• Exposure to Cypress, Jest, or other testing frameworks.
• Understanding of containerized environments (Docker) and microfrontend architecture.
