Senior Production Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Production Engineer will oversee and optimize the sheet metal production process, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality output, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, solving production issues, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, monitor, and control daily sheet metal production activities.

Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met.

Optimize machine utilization (press brakes, laser cutting, punching, welding, etc.).

Troubleshoot production and process issues to minimize downtime.

Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.

Coordinate with design, quality, maintenance, and planning teams.

Monitor material consumption and reduce wastage.

Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and quality systems (ISO, 5S).

Train and guide production operators and junior engineers.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering.

38 years experience in sheet metal fabrication industry.

Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes: shearing, bending, cutting, welding, finishing.

Good understanding of lean tools, quality standards, and production planning.

Problem-solving skills and ability to manage teams.

Proficiency in MS Office; basic CAD knowledge is a plus.Role & responsibilities
