Senior Principal Designer - Mechanical

As a Piping Modeling and Layout Specialist at our company, you will be proficient in utilizing Revit and Plant3D software for creating and managing BIM models. Your key role will involve overseeing BIM execution, managing models, and providing QC support. You should have a good understanding of Process Industry Piping codes, standards, and practices. Your responsibilities will include routing pipes, designing pipe rack arrangements, vessel piping, and creating detailed drawings with minimal input from the Engineering team. Additionally, you will use P & ID to develop a cost-effective 3D model and possess knowledge of valves, in-line devices, and support details. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate within a multidisciplinary project team, taking instructions from team members and working independently when needed. - Apply Safety in Design principles effectively. - Create design drawings based on specifications and markups. - Transform hand drawings and sketches into BIM systems. - Interpret and evaluate designs and drawings accurately. - Develop and implement work methodologies and strategies. - Maintain documentation and update all drawings regularly. - Ensure adherence to the company's quality-assured delivery processes and deliver high-quality output. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or diploma degree in mechanical engineering from a reputable university/institute. - Experience in Piping Engineering, specifically in design and layout for process industries. - Strong team player with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent interpersonal abilities including writing, speaking, listening, persuading, influencing, and collaborating. - Proven experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented setting.
