Senior planning engineer

WSP is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with excellent expertise and experience in supervising projects in the Middle East. Manage, direct, and supervise direct reports to satisfy the time, quality and budgetary targets, whilst meeting or exceeding Clients expectations.

To be able to perform the following tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Evaluate and communicate the Engineers approval of the contractors programme of Work, ensuring it aligns with the contract conditions and follows WSPs recommended practices.

2. Validating the adequacy of project resources to guarantee timely project completion.

3. Having a high degree of predictability is essential for properly identifying potential risks and conflicts, which can subsequently be documented in the Project Risk Register.

4. Use What if analysis to assess the time implications of any changes, variations, or potential events in the first phases and provide alternative options and advice before instructing contractors.

5. Comprehensive assessment of claims like Extension of Time and Disruption using modern delay analysis methods such as time impact analysis and window analysis, effectively demonstrating the contractors contemporaneous delay.

6. Address the contractor notifications and specific details by using programming data, robust building techniques, and contractual provisions in a logical and analytical approach.

7. Notify the contractor of delays caused by their slow performance, detailing the precise areas where they are not meeting the agreed schedule.

8. Create regular progress reports and monthly summaries with programming analysis and recommendations. The reports should identify and resolve any programmatic issues to ensure the project is finished according to the established timeline. Also, deliver presentations that showcase the advancement of the task, emphasising both interim and important milestones.
