Senior PHP Developer & Team Lead

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality PHP-based web applications. You will be tasked with writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices. It is essential to work with PHP frameworks such as Laravel (primary), Symfony, or CodeIgniter. Collaborating with front-end developers and cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing components with back-end logic is a crucial aspect of this role. Additionally, defining project goals, creating detailed development plans, assigning tasks, and monitoring execution are key responsibilities. Effective communication with internal stakeholders and clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations is also a part of this role. Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers to maintain quality and consistency is another important aspect of the job. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in PHP (Laravel) and a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Laravel-based development is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is also necessary. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX is essential. Experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL, familiarity with version control systems, especially Git, and understanding of web application security best practices and performance optimization are important skills required for this role. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are highly valued. Prior experience in leading teams and managing projects, preferably in an Agile environment, is an added advantage.
