Job Description

You will be responsible for coordinating sample flow and testing of samples within PD Solid Dose laboratories at Apotex Inc. Your key responsibilities will include: - Receiving, logging, and tracking lab samples, and requesting samples from other departments or external sources as required. - Logging Raw Material, Semi-Finished, and Finished Product samples in LIMS as needed. - Performing SAP requisitioning and placing laboratory purchase orders when required. - Maintaining records for all Controlled and Targeted Substances (CTS) substances according to established procedures. - Providing sample packages (placebo, standards, samples, documentation, etc.) to the labs for testing. - Coordinating with external testing laboratories on API and excipient testing when necessary. - Interacting with Product Development colleagues to coordinate and prioritize API, Excipient, and batch testing. - Planning and prioritizing work to align with project timelines, seeking input from team members, and monitoring status to meet customers" needs. - Receiving and tracking in-process and finished product samples from Formulation Development and coordinating with Analytical Laboratories for testing completion. - Providing status updates to team members and evaluating sample/material flow processes for necessary improvements. - Ensuring work is done in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, Standard Operating Documents, and safety standards. - Resolving routine issues with internal customers and working with senior team members for guidance when needed. - Collaborating as a team member to work safely and achieve all outcomes. - Demonstrating organizational values such as Collaboration, Courage, Perseverance, and Passion. - Ensuring personal adherence to all compliance programs, including Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies. Your qualifications for this role include: - A graduate/postgraduate degree in Chemistry/Pharmacy from a recognized school/university. You should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: - Excellent oral and written English communication skills. - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. - Strong customer service focus. - Familiarity with Microsoft application software; proficiency in SAP and LabWare LIMS is an asset. - Strong ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
