Job Description

As a Networking Managed Services Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational stability of our clients" IT infrastructure and systems. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively monitor, identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems to uphold our service level agreements (SLAs). You will be the go-to person for second-line support, handling incidents and requests of medium complexity. Your daily tasks will involve reviewing client requests and tickets, applying your technical expertise to resolve them efficiently, and collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to swiftly restore services. In addition to your daily responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to exciting project work and engage in optimizing efforts through automation. Monitoring work queues, executing operational tasks, and updating tickets with detailed actions taken will be integral to your role. Identifying, analyzing, and logging issues before they escalate will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be involved in the shift handover process, highlighting key tickets and upcoming critical tasks for the next shift. You will escalate tickets when necessary to ensure proper focus from relevant teams and collaborate with automation teams to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will mentor and coach Service Desk and L1 teams in technical and behavioral skills. Your role will also involve establishing monitoring for client infrastructure, managing initial client escalations for operational issues, contributing to the change management process, and driving trend analysis reports for automation opportunities. You may also support disaster recovery functions and other related tasks as required. To excel in this position, you should possess proficiency in technologies such as Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Nexus switches/routers/firewalls, and familiarity with ticketing tools. A technical certification in the mentioned technologies is required, along with strong planning skills, adaptability, resilience, effective communication across diverse groups, active listening abilities, and a client-centric approach. A positive outlook, ability to work well under pressure, and a client-first attitude are essential traits for success in this role. A bachelor's degree in IT/Computing or equivalent work experience is preferred. This position offers the opportunity to work on-site and is with an Equal Opportunity Employer.,
