Senior .NET & AWS Solution Architect

As a Senior .NET + AWS Solution Architect, your role will involve driving the transformation of a legacy .NET Framework-based application through a comprehensive modernization roadmap. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance across various workstreams including Quote Generation Optimization, Lift & Shift/Containerization, and Mainframe Dependency Elimination. Additionally, you will define and deliver a long-term architecture strategy covering migration to AWS services, UI modernization, reporting & analytics modernization, high availability planning, and cloud cost optimization. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the application modernization effort by creating and executing a modernization roadmap - Providing technical guidance on migrating large SQL Server tables to AWS DocumentDB, overseeing migration of legacy Windows Services to AWS ECS containers, and redesigning data flows to replace Mainframe static data - Defining and delivering a long-term architecture strategy covering migration to AWS services, UI modernization, reporting & analytics modernization, and cloud cost optimization - Partnering with developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to ensure alignment with performance and business goals - Presenting architecture decisions, risks, and trade-offs to leadership and business stakeholders effectively To qualify for this role, you should have: - 10+ years of IT experience with expertise in software architecture & solution design - Proven experience in modernizing ASP.NET Framework applications & Windows Services - Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, DocumentDB, RDS, SQS, CloudWatch, IAM - Strong background in cloud migration projects, databases, mainframe integration, microservices, serverless, and event-driven architecture - Experience in designing HA, replication, and disaster recovery strategies - Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional team management skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects involving application modernization, cloud migration, and architecture strategy.
