Job Description

As a Networking Managed Services Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA, your main responsibility is to ensure the operational functionality of our clients" IT infrastructure and systems. You will proactively monitor, identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems to maintain service levels in adherence to our service level agreements (SLAs). Collaborating closely with clients and internal teams, you will efficiently address client requests and tickets using your technical expertise, serving as the go-to person for second-line support for incidents and requests of medium complexity. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various project work as needed. Your daily tasks will involve monitoring work queues, performing operational tasks, and updating tickets with the appropriate actions taken. Identifying, analyzing, and logging issues before they escalate will be a crucial aspect of your role. Effective communication with other teams and clients will be essential to provide support and ensure clear risk identification and mitigation plans during changes. During shift handovers, you will highlight key tickets and critical upcoming tasks for the next shift, and escalate tickets when necessary to ensure the appropriate focus from our Centres of Excellence (CoE) and other teams. Collaborating with automation teams, you will work on optimizing efforts, automating routine tasks, and coaching our Service desk and L1 teams in technical and behavioral skills. You will be responsible for establishing monitoring for client infrastructure, leading initial client escalations for operational issues, contributing to the change management process, executing approved maintenance activities, and auditing incident and request tickets for quality. Your insights will drive trend analysis reports, identifying tasks suitable for automation to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you may support disaster recovery functions and other related tasks as required. To excel in this role, you should possess proficiency in technologies like Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Nexus switches/routers/firewalls, and familiarity with ticketing tools. A technical certification in these technologies is essential, along with strong planning skills, adaptability, resilience, effective communication across cultures, active listening abilities, and a client-centric approach. A positive outlook, ability to perform well under pressure, client-first attitude, and a bachelor's degree in IT/Computing or equivalent work experience are also required.
