Senior Microservices Developer Edge Computing

Role Overview: Acclivis Technologies is seeking experienced and passionate Senior Microservices Developers with a strong background in edge computing and Linux-based environments. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in migrating monolithic Ethernet middleware to a modern microservices architecture, ensuring scalability, modularity, and performance across compute units. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain modular, scalable microservices for Ethernet stack applications. - Migrate monolithic BareMetal middleware to a microservices-based architecture. - Ensure microservices are distributable across single or multiple compute units (CUs). - Implement SOME/IP-based communication between services, with future expansion to DDS. - Develop services that are self-contained, testable, and production-ready. - Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure application reliability and performance. - Demonstrate baseline functionality using Raspberry Pi as a simulated compute unit. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure low-latency and high-performance edge deployments. - Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize performance in Linux environments. Qualification Required: - Strong programming experience in C++. - Hands-on experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker). - Familiarity with microservice frameworks like Spring Boot or Kubernetes. - Proficiency in Linux systems: setup, configuration, and debugging. - In-depth understanding of SOME/IP and/or DDS communication protocols. - Good grasp of edge computing concepts and distributed system design. - Awareness of security best practices in microservices and edge environments.
