Senior Medical Coder

Role Overview: As a Medical Coder/Senior Coder/QA, your primary responsibility will be to assign codes, abstract information, maintain knowledge, and ensure accuracy and quality in the coding process. You will review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accurate code assignment, adhere to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements, and effectively utilize medical coding software. Key Responsibilities: - Assign codes and abstract information from patient medical records - Review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accurate code assignment - Adhere to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements - Utilize medical coding software effectively - Apply understanding of anatomy and physiology to interpret clinical documentation and identify relevant medical codes - Stay updated on industry changes by attending relevant training sessions - Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient information - Comply with employment contract terms, company policies and procedures, and any directives due to changing business environment Qualifications Required: - Previous experience as a Medical Coder/Senior Coder/QA - Knowledge of anatomy and physiology - Proficiency in medical coding software - Ability to interpret clinical documentation accurately - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Compliance with regulatory requirements and coding guidelines,
