Senior Medical Coder

Job Description: As a Surgery Coding Specialist with 1 to 6 years of experience, your role will involve reviewing medical records, ensuring documentation completeness, and accurately assigning CPT, ICD, and modifier codes for Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) Surgery and E&M services. Your responsibilities will include: - Retrieving and reviewing the correct medical records for surgery services. - Validating documentation completeness and key components. - Applying coding standards such as CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS Level II, and modifiers. - Ensuring compliance with coding policies and regulations. - Collaborating with peers and supervisors to address coding queries. - Adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accuracy and productivity targets. Qualifications: - Experience in Surgery Coding. - Exposure to Gastroenterology and/or Anesthesia preferred. - Certification (CPC, CCS, etc.) is desirable. - Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and coding guidelines.
