Job Description

Role & responsibilities

2D manufacturing drawings

9+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development

Strong knowledge of GD&T, material selection, and manufacturing processes

GD&T (ASME Y14.5)

BOMs

Handle ECO/ECN updates, redlines, and revision changes with clean traceability.

6-10+ years

Coordinate with machine shops/fabricators: weld symbols, bend allowances, machining callouts, coating/heat treatment notes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality engineering.

Conduct design reviews, tolerance stack-ups, and DFMEA assessments

Background in sheet metal, plastics, or electromechanical systems

Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASME, ISO, CE, UL) is desirable

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred candidate profile

Proficient in
3D CAD software
such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD
Good understanding of
GD&T
,
DFM/DFA
, and
tolerance analysis
.
Familiarity with
engineering documentation
, including 2D drawings, BOMs, and change management.
Experience with
PLM/PDM systems
(e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter) is desirable
