Senior Material Engineer

As an experienced Maintenance/Material Management professional in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industries, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Reviewing Engineering drawings, datasheets, parts list, certificates, and manufacturer catalogues - Reviewing project spares parts interchangeability records (SPIR) in coordination with vendors, manufacturers, inventory, and warehouse team - Developing dictionaries and building material master data templates - Ensuring expertise in Material specifications according to international and industrial standards such as ASTM, ASME, API, ISO, BS, etc - Managing Material specifications in ERP systems, especially SAP, and handling large volumes of data for cleansing, enrichment, duplicate identification, and resolution - Conducting variety reduction, alternate materials specification, interchangeability study, etc - Utilizing IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and Access database Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation - Minimum 15 years of experience in Maintenance/Material management in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industries - Minimum 8 years of experience in Materials Cataloguing, Data Standardisation, Data Enrichment, Duplicate Resolution, Bill of Materials preparation, Technical Evaluation If you are seeking a challenging opportunity in Chennai with immediate joining, this role offers a competitive salary package aligned with market standards.
