As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in leading the design, development, and deployment of state-of-the-art digital products in the eCommerce space. Here are some key details about the role: Key Responsibilities: - Provide leadership in designing, developing, and deploying digital products within eCommerce, in alignment with CAT Digital Strategy - Hire, manage, and mentor multiple software engineering managers and their teams - Identify, hire, and build world-class teams of Software Engineers to drive and execute on the strategic vision - Develop processes for efficient collaboration between local and global teams - Own features and programs that enhance customer experience - Supervise complex projects with significant impact - Work with product managers to develop a strategy and road map for new capabilities - Drive engineering best practices and continuously improve software resilience and scalability - Encourage innovation and implementation of cutting-edge technologies - Lead project prioritization, planning, and stakeholder management - Manage career development of direct reports and oversee personnel issues and performance evaluations - Provide technical support and direction to teams and team leaders - Evaluate problems and provide input into solutions, balancing technical leadership with business judgment Qualification Required: - Four-year degree from an accredited college or university - 15+ years of experience in designing and developing software applications in Full stack (UI in Angular /React) & Java, or 10+ years with a master's degree in computer science or related field - 7+ years of experience in managing software development teams - 5+ years of experience in public cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure - Demonstrated leadership on medium to large-scale projects impacting strategic priorities - Ability to cope with shifting priorities, demands, and timelines - Passion for technology and innovation - Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms Additional Details: Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and qualified applicants of any age are encouraged to apply.
