Senior Manager- Software Defined Vehicle

As a High Speed Hardware Design Engineer, your role involves conceptualizing, designing, and developing high-speed hardware for high-performance compute on the vehicle. You will be responsible for scanning technology implications influencing automotive areas of work, staying updated with technology trends and relevant providers, and mapping the feasibility of applying new technologies. Additionally, you will study developments related to PESTAL on vehicle engineering and gather feedback from customers, vendors, and channel partners on the engineering and performance of products and services. Your inputs on key technologies will assist Top Management in finalizing the technology roadmap. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and control the development of critical technologies for the product portfolio - Review all milestones of the TCDS process - Ensure the generation of IPR ideas and oversee patent submissions - Benchmark and adopt the latest technologies for the development of CoC systems - Create engineering capability plans and review component/aggregate strategies In terms of technology management, your role will also involve planning and reviewing CoC/group activities to align with organizational requirements in terms of product timeline, quality management, and cost. Implementing best practices to enhance design quality, reduce development risks, and ensure budget control for all platforms will be crucial. Additionally, you will plan and review engineering changes, drive corrective measures on quality issues, evaluate VA/VE initiatives, and focus on profitability. People development is a key aspect of this role, including cascading BSC targets, monitoring performance, providing feedback, distributing responsibilities using the RACI tool, and identifying skills and competency requirements for all roles in CoC. Stakeholder interactions will involve engaging with internal stakeholders such as the Head of CoC, Chief Engineer, Product Line Project Manager, VATS Team, and external stakeholders like suppliers, consultants, and engineering service providers. Qualifications Required: - Engineering Graduate with 3-5+ years of experience in high-speed hardware design - In-depth knowledge of communication protocols - Experience in full product development cycles - Proficiency in hardware design tools and test equipment - Desired competencies include EV Powertrain System Engineering, Controller Hardware Design & Development, PCB Layout & Assembly, Application Software Design & Development, Vehicle Virtualizations, and Functional Safety.,
