Senior Manager (L5) - Cost Engineer - Electrical Prop

As a Cost Engineer - Proprietary Electrical at our company, you will be responsible for developing the most cost-effective design and manufacturing options for key components or subassemblies. You will utilize model should cost tools and databases to generate cost estimates, conduct function-cost-value analysis, and generate cost reduction ideas. To qualify for this position, you should have a Graduation in Engineering (MBA, ICWA preferred) and possess 3 to 7 years of experience in a technology-focused company, particularly in areas such as Auto Ancillary and manufacturing processes like casting, forging, electrical, electronic plastics, and sheet metal. Knowledge of the latest technology trends, experience in lean manufacturing or six sigma programs, and familiarity with EV-specific part development, sourcing, and costing are desirable. Key responsibilities include developing target costing, establishing detailed should cost estimates for components, ensuring design and source to cost targets are achieved, and collaborating with engineering to meet design cost targets for new programs. You will also be involved in performing cost driver analysis, supplier negotiation, and generating cost reduction ideas to achieve component subsystem cost reduction targets.
