Senior Manager, Firmware

As a member of the Ayla Device team at Ayla, you will be part of an exciting start-up that is delivering a PaaS platform for the Internet of Things. Your main responsibilities will include: - Working in an engineering culture that is customer-focused - Enabling various devices to connect to the Internet - Leading two functional teams: Device Core Engineering and Professional Services Firmware vertical - Architecting and overseeing the implementation of medium-to-large software components - Interacting with the sales team to understand customer requirements - Hiring, mentoring, and growing team members in their careers at Ayla To be successful in this role, you should have: - Over 15 years of experience in leading engineering teams and projects delivering production-quality firmware for connected devices - Experience in defining and communicating firmware architecture and design - Proficiency in developing software solutions with multiple interacting threads or processes - Ability to work with product management to define customer requirements and engineering specifications - Strong customer-facing written and communication skills - Experience in managing engineering resources across various product deliverables - Familiarity with development tools such as cross-compilation, git, jira, and jtag debuggers - Willingness to work in a startup environment and tackle new challenges Education: - BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent),
