Senior Manager- Cloud API platforms

As a Cloud Software Engineer - API Specialist, your primary role is to design, develop, and optimize API-driven solutions for modern connected vehicle ecosystems. You will focus on creating secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs that facilitate seamless interaction between vehicle systems, cloud services, and third-party platforms. Utilizing AWS cloud technologies and adhering to best practices for building robust API ecosystems will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and GraphQL endpoints. - Ensure that APIs are optimized for performance, scalability, and security within cloud-based automotive systems. - Implement best practices for API versioning, error handling, and documentation. - Leverage AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and Kinesis to build API solutions. - Configure API proxies, throttling, and rate-limiting policies using AWS API Gateway. - Integrate with AWS IoT capabilities like IoT Core, MQTT, and FleetWise to support connected vehicle use cases. - Enable seamless data exchange between cloud systems, edge devices, and third-party platforms. - Develop APIs to support data ingestion, processing, and analytics pipelines. - Implement API security measures including OAuth2, JWT, and TLS. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly in the connected vehicle domain. - Use tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation to automate API deployment and management. - Integrate APIs into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment. - Monitor API performance and availability using tools like AWS CloudWatch. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to define API requirements and usage scenarios. - Maintain comprehensive API documentation, including OpenAPI/Swagger specifications. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5+ years of hands-on experience in API development and cloud-native solutions, preferably with AWS. - Proficiency in designing and implementing APIs using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL. - Expertise in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or Go. - Strong understanding of AWS services and API management tools. - Knowledge of security protocols like OAuth2, JWT, and TLS.
