Senior Manager / AGM - Legal & Compliance

As a Senior Manager / AGM in Legal & Compliance at our company, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Reviewing all MOUs to be executed with donors, vendors, lessors, service providers, bankers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all terms and conditions protect the interests of the Organization [KREA / IFMR] and minimize risks and liabilities. - Discussing with stakeholders and 3rd parties to finalize Agreements, Contracts, and MOUs till sign-off stage and maintaining a repository of all such agreements. - Liaising with legal firms or attorneys on all legal matters and providing inputs to defend the Organization. - Identifying all the Statutes and legislations which KREA & IFMR has to comply with on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, including tax laws, FCRA Compliance, and HR related laws. Prepare a checklist under each Law or Statute and ensure adherence/compliance. - Compiling an SOP with key compliance measures/requirements and ensuring it is well understood by all for adherence without any exception. - Drawing the key compliance requirements of each Statute, tracking them on a monthly frequency, publishing a dashboard, and presenting it to the GC and the Board of the respective entity every quarter. Displaying pending actions for implementation with timelines for completion distinctly. - Maintaining a risk register of all high and medium rated risks relevant from a statutory compliance perspective, and identifying and implementing mitigating factors to minimize risks or exposures. Skills Required: - Good working knowledge of all Statutes. - Drafting skills and reviewing MOUs/Agreements till finalization. - Good communication and writing skills, agility, and energy. - Willingness to learn and continuously upgrade relevant skills.
