Senior LLVM GPU Compiler Engineer

Role Overview: You will be part of a diverse and distributed team of engineers responsible for maintaining and developing GPU compiler software. This software supports various graphics and compute APIs across multiple GPU generations. Your main focus will be on the LLVM based middle-end of the GPU compilers. Your role is critical in achieving optimal runtime performance of graphics/compute workloads on GPUs by producing efficient HW code with minimal compilation time. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and develop GPU compilers, with a specific emphasis on the LLVM based middle-end - Diagnose and resolve compilation issues from customer feedback, QA, or conformance testing - Analyze code quality and runtime performance to implement optimizations - Integrate support for new/future GPU functionality and API/input language features - Identify and propose changes to enhance output quality and compilation time - Provide technical insights and collaborate with team members to enhance GPU compilers continuously Qualifications Required: - Advanced proficiency in C++ programming - Strong expertise in LLVM, particularly in the middle-end compiler - Previous experience in production-quality compiler development - Solid understanding of compiler theory, especially optimization techniques - Ability to analyze generated code at the ISA level - Knowledge of computer architecture Additional Company Details: Imagination is a UK-based company specializing in creating silicon and software IP to give its clients a competitive edge in global technology markets.
