Job Description

As a Jewellery CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed and precise computer-aided design (CAD) models of jewelry pieces based on design briefs, sketches, or concepts provided by the design team. These digital models are crucial for visualization, prototyping, and manufacturing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in production. Key Responsibilities: - Develop high-quality 2D and 3D CAD models for various jewelry items such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. - Translate design briefs, hand sketches, and conceptual drawings into precise CAD outputs. - Ensure designs are technically accurate for production, including proper dimensions, thickness, and stone settings. - Collaborate effectively with design teams, merchandisers, and production units to achieve desired aesthetics and functionality. - Prepare files for 3D printing, resin/wax casting, and other manufacturing processes. - Create realistic renders for presentations, catalogs, and customer approvals. - Maintain design files, libraries, and version control for all projects. - Stay updated with the latest CAD software, jewelry trends, and manufacturing techniques. Skills & Competencies: - Proficiency in CAD software such as Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or similar. - Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes including casting, stone setting, and finishing. - Knowledge of metals, gemstones, and modern jewelry design trends. - Attention to detail and ability to work with complex geometries. - Strong visualization, creativity, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work under deadlines and collaborate effectively in a team environment. Qualifications: - Diploma/Degree in Jewelry Design, CAD Designing, or related field. - Prior experience in a jewelry manufacturing or design company preferred.
