Job Overview. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a deep understanding of Java programming, object-oriented design principles, and modern development frameworks. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and play a pivotal role in driving best practices and delivering high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities. • Design & Development: o Develop, test, and deploy scalable, maintainable, and robust Java applications. o Architect and design new features and components based on business requirements and technical specifications. o Optimize existing code and improve performance across systems. o Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices. • Collaboration & Mentorship: o Work closely with product managers, architects, and other team members to deliver high-quality software solutions. o Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers, helping them improve their skills and grow within the team. o Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality standards are met across the team. • Problem Solving & Debugging: o Identify and troubleshoot software defects and issues in a timely manner. o Debug complex system problems and provide solutions. o Participate in root cause analysis and help implement solutions to prevent future issues. • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: o Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Java and software development. o Contribute to the adoption of new tools, frameworks, and processes to improve development efficiency. o Drive improvements in code quality, test automation, and deployment processes. • Agile Development: o Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.). o Break down features into manageable tasks and deliver work on time with high quality. • Documentation & Reporting: o Write and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and architecture. o Report on progress and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications. Required: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience: o 5+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer. o Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+), with hands-on experience in the latest Java features and best practices. o Experience working with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.) and Hibernate. o Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and data structures. o Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services. o Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL. o Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Preferred: • Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes). • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular/React) is a plus. • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.). • Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito). • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
