Senior Java Backend Developer

As a candidate for the position located in Chennai with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office, your primary role will involve modernizing the existing Java Application to a modern tech stack and BOM upgrade. This includes planning a rewrite for better optimization and performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting Content Management Systems for the e-commerce site, informing the blueprint and template of the e-commerce site, and assisting in providing appropriate content for display. Key Responsibilities: - Modernize the existing Java Application to a modern tech stack and BOM upgrade, focusing on optimization and performance. - Support Content Management Systems for the e-commerce site. - Inform the blueprint and template of the e-commerce site. - Provide appropriate content for display. Qualifications Required: - Top-notch programming skills with an interest in functional programming languages. - Solid coding skills in Java/J2EE technologies with Spring Boot experience. - Understanding of developing and supporting large-scale, cloud-based distributed systems. - Experience with REST-based API Development. - Knowledge of relational databases like Postgres DB. - Experience in SOA Architecture for developing scalable APIs. - Exposure to event-based and asynchronous processing. - Strong operational excellence and testing skills. - Proficiency in automation to avoid repetitive manual problem-solving. - Experience working with distributed databases (Cosmos/Cassandra/etc.). - Fluency in multiple programming languages, including functional, dynamic, and static. - Understanding of using data structures to solve problems optimally. - Good understanding of event-driven systems. - Experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms. - Knowledge of DevOps principles for supporting large-scale distributed systems and issue escalation prioritization.
