Senior IT Systems Engineer & Technical Lead
You will be responsible for managing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, and AWS environments, leading automation and infrastructure-as-code efforts, and ensuring overall efficiency, scalability, and security across the enterprise IT ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud & Identity Management
- Administer and optimize Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity and access management.
- Manage Windows and macOS endpoints with Microsoft Intune (policies, applications, compliance).
- Support and optimize cloud resources across Azure and AWS, ensuring performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor usage and proactively implement cost-saving measures.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Automate repetitive IT tasks (e.g., user lifecycle, reporting, monitoring) using PowerShell or Python.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code initiatives with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Standardize and document IT processes to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
Team & Task Management
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor for IT engineers, providing hands-on guidance.
- Oversee task assignment, ticket queues, and project tracking for timely delivery.
- Establish KPIs for IT operations (uptime, SLA adherence, resolution times).
- Act as an escalation point for complex issues while coaching team members on solutions.
Advanced Support & Operations
- Troubleshoot complex problems across Microsoft 365, networking, endpoints, and cloud environments.
- Manage full hardware lifecycle: provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning.
- Partner with security, DevOps, and application teams to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (NIST, SOC2, ISO).
Qualifications:
Must-Haves
- 7+ years of IT experience with strong systems administration and cloud engineering expertise.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, M365, Azure, and AWS.
- Proven track record in team leadership, mentoring, and project/task management.
- Strong knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization.
- Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell.
- L2/L3 troubleshooting skills to resolve complex escalations.
Nice-to-Haves
- AWS or Microsoft certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, M365 Enterprise Admin).
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.).
- Familiarity with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Background in compliance-driven environments.
