Senior Investment Professional

As a Senior Investment Professional with the Buy side firm based in Mumbai, you will be part of a boutique independent, partner-centric long term-oriented Investment Management firm managing around ~1,700 Cr in AUM with a focus on investing in the Indian public Equities. The investment approach of the firm prioritizes resilience over speed, seeking long term compounding by predominantly investing in high quality companies with an ownership mindset. Your key responsibilities in this role will include: - Providing actionable insights through end-to-end due diligence on companies under coverage across multiple sectors and market cap pyramid, studying growth potential, industry dynamics, business fundamentals, and investment risks. - Conducting diligence by researching public/proprietary information, performing channel checks, and meeting management teams. - Actively tracking industries/stocks under coverage, ensuring investment thesis documentation, excel model, and presentations are up to date. - Exchanging views with the research team on the broader stock universe. - Participating in team discussions around portfolio construction, position sizing, and monitoring. - Engaging with existing and potential clients as part of portfolio reviews and business pitches. Qualifications required for this role include: - 3-6 years of work experience at a Long only Indian Public Equities firm, Indian Private Equity firm, or Corporate Strategy/IR senior role at any Indian corporate. - Sharp understanding of business strategy, financial management concepts, and ability to analyze financial statements to gauge the economic value of any business. - Strong willingness to leverage technology to boost productivity and accuracy of research.
