Senior Industrial Automation Engineer

As a Senior Industrial Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced automation and digitalization solutions for industrial operations. Your expertise in Rockwell Automation platforms, including ControlLogix/CompactLogix PLCs, FactoryTalk View SCADA, and FTOptix, will be essential for driving digital transformation initiatives within manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and commission automation systems utilizing Rockwell Automation PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and SCADA platforms (FactoryTalk View SE/ME). - Create HMI/SCADA interfaces using FactoryTalk View and FTOptix to enhance operational efficiency. - Implement and manage industrial communication networks such as EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP. - Lead system integration projects from inception to commissioning, encompassing functional design specifications, programming, testing, and ongoing support. - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices in programming, safety protocols, and system design. - Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing automation systems. - Support data acquisition and analytics initiatives to drive productivity and reliability improvements. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and cybersecurity practices. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 3 years in industrial automation, with a focus on manufacturing or process industries. - Proficiency in Rockwell Automation products, specifically in PLC programming (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), SCADA/HMI development using FactoryTalk View SE/ME, and FTOptix application design. - Sound knowledge of industrial protocols and network architectures (EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, etc.). - Experience with digitalization solutions like data historians, IIoT platforms, remote monitoring, and integration with ERP/MES systems. - Preferred experience with safety systems such as GuardLogix and SIL-rated systems. - Familiarity with Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing concepts, and cloud connectivity.
