Senior Frontend Architect

As a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in React.JS, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end strategy and execution of an enterprise-grade component library and design system. Your role will involve owning frontend architecture, mentoring senior engineers, and collaborating with various teams to build a versioned UI platform focused on speed, quality, accessibility, and maintainability. Key Responsibilities: - Define and evolve the technical roadmap for component libraries, design tokens, theming, and micro-frontend integration. - Establish governance around versioning, releases, and deprecation. - Develop reusable React and TypeScript components. - Maintain Storybook with accessibility and visual regression tests. - Automate CI/CD pipelines with linting, testing, and security checks. - Define contracts between micro-frontends and BFF layers. - Ensure non-functional excellence across accessibility, performance, and security. - Utilize monitoring tools like Sentry or New Relic for continuous improvement. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in large-scale React and TypeScript development. - At least 3 years in architectural leadership for design systems. - Deep JavaScript expertise. - Proven experience in CI/CD automation. - Preferred skills in Docker-based environments, micro-frontend deployments, Fastify or Express BFF ownership, production monitoring, and familiarity with design-token pipelines. - Bonus points for public speaking or thought leadership contributions.
