Senior Enzymologist

Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, optimization, and execution of enzyme purification protocols from various expression systems. - Develop, validate, and perform enzyme assays for comprehensive characterization, kinetic analysis, and screening of enzyme variants crucial for NCAA synthesis. - Independently design and execute experiments to improve enzyme activity, stability, and specificity for NCAA production. - Manage and analyze experimental data, interpret results, and present findings to the leadership team. - Stay updated on scientific advancements in enzyme engineering and biocatalysis. - Contribute to the strategic direction of R&D efforts and mentor future scientific hires. Qualifications Required: - Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, Enzyme Engineering, or related field. - Minimum of 2+ years post-Ph.D. experience in enzyme engineering or protein biochemistry. - Expertise in protein purification techniques and enzyme activity assays. - Understanding of enzyme kinetics, mechanism, and protein engineering principles. - Experience with high-throughput screening and automation is a plus. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
