Senior Engineer - Wastewater Modelling

As a Water and Wastewater Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical support on various projects related to water and wastewater. You will work collaboratively as part of a project team and play a key role in network modeling, feasibility studies, optioneering, model calibration, and report preparation. Your roles will include supporting Network Modelling and Senior Engineers, contributing to the development of feasibility studies, conducting model calibration and verification, and defining work needed by field investigation teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for responding to customer needs, maintaining client relationships, and providing guidance to junior team members such as Graduates, Engineers, and Technicians. In this position, you will be expected to attend and contribute to project meetings both internally and with clients via video conferencing. Continuous professional development is encouraged, and you will receive guidance from your Line Manager in this regard. It is essential for all employees to familiarize themselves with health and safety arrangements and guidelines relevant to their activities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Master's Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering. A strong understanding of water and wastewater projects, particularly within the UK Water Industry standards and specifications, is preferred. While a minimum of 12 years of industry experience is desired, it is not essential. Experience in urban drainage modeling, wastewater modeling, model verification, needs assessment, and optioneering is beneficial. Proficiency in using software such as Infoworks ICM and GIS is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as proficiency in MS Office, are essential for this role. You should also demonstrate the ability to work independently on technical matters.
