Senior Engineer R&D

As a Senior Engineer- R&D at Saurer Group, your role will involve designing, developing, and implementing software solutions. You will be responsible for coding, debugging, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of software projects. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve software issues, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement processes. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement software solutions - Code, debug, and collaborate with cross-functional teams - Troubleshoot and resolve software issues - Participate in code reviews - Contribute to continuous improvement processes Qualifications: - Degree in engineering in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechatronics - Experience in Textile Machine Manufacturing will be an added advantage - Strong experience in C (C89/C99) and C++ embedded programming - Hands-on experience with OS-9 (or legacy OS-0 flavors) for creating modules, processes, and handling I/O paths - Familiarity with motion control concepts such as stepper/servo drives, encoders, PID/trajectory planning - Proficiency in debugging tools like JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes/logic analyzers, on-target trace/profilers - Knowledge of embedded build/CI practices, version control (git), and test-driven development mindset - Experience in closed-loop control of induction motors including inverter - Understanding of communication protocols such as RS232, CanOpen, RS485, Ethernet, etc. - Experience in front-end development in Java (Note: Omitted the Company Description section as it was not included in the provided job description),
