Senior Engineer - Mechanical

As a Mechanical Engineer at WSP, you will be responsible for designing HVAC systems, plumbing and/or fire-protection systems, and specialized piping systems. You will analyze heating, ventilation, and cooling loads, perform engineering calculations, and coordinate with various departments for project implementation. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing HVAC systems - Designing plumbing and/or fire-protection systems - Designing specialized piping systems - Analyzing heating, ventilation, and cooling loads - Performing engineering calculations - Coordinating with various departments for project implementation - Conducting life-cycle-cost analyses - Producing detailed drawings and specifications - Conducting field reviews - Preparing engineering reports - Other duties as assigned To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit - Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design - Ability to work independently with minimal instructions - Focus on HVAC, plumbing, and building engineering - Experience with energy modeling calculations - Working knowledge of Ontario Building Codes, CSA standards, and ASHRAE standards - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programs - A team player attitude About WSP: WSP is a leading professional services consulting firm dedicated to local communities and driven by international expertise.
