We are Hiring Sr. Engineer for High Rise building Project Job Location - Pune (west) Purpose of the role Accountable for execution of assigned part of project within assigned cost, in time bound manner with defined Quality and Safety standard. Key Responsibilities Planning & Execution - Study the major aspects of the assigned part of the project to understand scope of work. - Study of BOQ and technical specifications. - Study GFC drawings and prepare detailed planning for the assigned works in line with the base line schedule for a daily, weekly and monthly basis. - To work out the resources with respect to the planning. - Finalize work sequence and organize work in line with targets and ensure productivity. - Ensure availability and understanding of (WMS) work method statement with the execution team and get mock up approved from the client / PMC wherever required. - Guide the team assigned to the work on technicalities involved in the work, workmanship and Quality requirements and how to achieve the same without creating a re-work situation. - Have an overall view of the safety requirements of the site/area assigned and support safety to achieve safe work place at all stages of work. - Identify any unique or challenging part of the structures to be focused on. - Deploy the optimum team/workforce for desired productivity. - Have the team aligned to focus of wastage reduction and housekeeping. - Create the awareness in the team and make sure that the Plant & Machinery does not remain idle at work place. - Create a discipline in the team for daily progress reporting & planning for next days work in advance. - Discuss liquidation plan with team and PM under special circumstances to tide over the setbacks. - Ensuring timely preparation, certification and submission of relevant JMRs to the billing engineer. - Identify surplus material and shift or return the same to optimize rentals. - Monitor & optimize repetitions of shuttering material. Control wastage and damages. - Create, delegate and monitor uninterrupted work front to respective contractors with necessary resources to meet the targets. - Ensure daily TBT is done. - Timely preparation submission and approval of BBS for assigned structures. Ensuring the execution is in line to the approved BBS. - Ensure recording of site instructions if any and timely submission to the QS engineer. - Control wastage to contain it within the permissible limits. Encourage use of cut pieces and scrap wherever possible. Explore gainful use of surplus / waste concrete. - Support the QS engineer in formulating the Rate Analysis for any Non Tender item required to be executed as per approved drawings. Ensure the rate is approved prior to execution of the work and amendment issued. - Keep up to date record of all the reasons attributable to client for delay in his work area and ensure that the same is available when required for Extension of Time & realizing overrun charges. - Preparation and submission of daily progress data to planning engineer. Sub-Contractor Management : - Raising requisitions in advance and follow up with PM for brought out items and third party works. - Monitor labour supply contractors for adequate manpower supply in line with the project targets. - Monitor third party works for timely supply and release of fronts in line with project schedule. - Ensure timely submission of bills for respective labor contractors and third parity works and follow-up for its payments. - Ensuring daily weekly productivity of respective contractors. Key Deliverables / Performance Measures Maintaining pace of work aligned with schedule. Retain adequate workforce at all stages of execution to keep track with schedule. Keep the team aligned to ensure productivity, Quality and Workmanship. Have good relations with Client / PMC for expeditious coordination and clearances. Take timely action on Non Tender items. Focus on Technical, Safety and Workmanship areas. Expeditious site closure, snag list liquidation and handing over sign-off for assigned area. Key Challenges Execution of the area assigned within scheduled timelines with Quality & Workmanship. Resource optimization in terms of manpower, material, equipment, Tools & Tackles. Creating uninterrupted work fronts to maintain and motivate labor force. Job Purpose To implement engineering-based safety solutions at the construction site by assessing hazards, analyzing technical risks, and supporting the integration of safety measures in construction methods. The Safety Engineer works closely with execution teams to ensure that project activities are planned and performed safely and in compliance with regulations. Responsibilities 1. Risk Assessment & Hazard Analysis Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) for ongoing activities. Support project planning by identifying engineering controls to minimize risk. Review method statements and provide safety recommendations. 2. Design Safety Integration Coordinate with design and project teams to ensure safety is incorporated in design and work methodology. Assist in evaluating temporary structures like scaffolding, formwork, and lifting plans from a safety standpoint. 3. Site Safety Monitoring Monitor implementation of engineering controls such as guardrails, barricading, lifting equipment, and electrical systems. Ensure critical safety systems are properly installed and maintained (e.g., fall protection, access ladders, earth pits). Regular and daily inspections should be done as per monthly activity schedule. 4. Compliance & Permit Support Verify compliance with legal, project, and client-specific safety requirements. Assist in issuing and verifying Permit to Work (PTW) for high-risk activities like confined space, excavation, and hot work. 5. Safety Training & Awareness Support toolbox talks and on-site training related to engineering safety (e.g., lifting safety, scaffold safety, machinery). Help develop technical safety checklists and awareness materials for workers and engineers. 6. Incident Support Assist in investigating incidents related to equipment failure, technical hazards, or unsafe design. Analyze root causes and provide recommendations from an engineering perspective. 7. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of risk assessments, inspections, and equipment certifications. Submit daily and weekly safety performance reports with technical inputs. Maintain logs of critical equipment inspections (e.g., cranes, scaffolds, pressure vessels). 8. Coordination Coordinate with execution engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to integrate safety into daily planning. Work with safety and QA/QC teams to ensure safe and quality installation of temporary and permanent works. Qualifications & Skills Education Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) with safety qualification preferred (e.g., ADIS, PDIS, NEBOSH IGC). Experience 4 to 9 years of experience in construction safety, particularly in technical or engineering support roles. High rise building with mivan experience is must. Knowledge Solid understanding of engineering controls, construction equipment safety, and site procedures. Familiarity with safety codes, IS standards, and regulatory norms. Skills Strong analytical and technical review capability. Effective communication and coordination skills. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD (basic), and safety inspection tools.
