Senior Engineer I - Water Resources

You will be working with a group of engineers on water resources, drainage, hydrology, and hydraulics design projects and related clients. Your role will involve utilizing frequently used software such as HEC programs, XP-SWMM, MOUSE, etc., to address water resource issues effectively. It is essential to have sound technical knowledge in water resources engineering, along with good communication and organizational skills. Your responsibilities also include identifying and pursuing water resource opportunities where Walter P Moore can excel and developing a national network of clients and consultant alliances for the WRE group. Additionally, you will have the chance to work with GIS-based tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth Engine for watershed modeling and floodplain mapping. Key Responsibilities: - Work on water resources, drainage, hydrology, and hydraulics design projects - Utilize software such as HEC programs, XP-SWMM, MOUSE, etc. - Identify and pursue water resource opportunities - Develop a national network of clients and consultant alliances - Utilize GIS-based tools for watershed modeling and floodplain mapping - Mentor junior engineers and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions - Handle large datasets, real-time monitoring systems, and automation systems - Utilize machine learning applications in hydrology and predictive analytics for flood forecasting Qualifications: - Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred with emphasis in hydrology/hydraulics, water resources, or related field) - 6-12 years of relevant experience - Proficiency in drainage design - Proficient in software/modeling programs including HEC, XP-SWMM, 2D modeling, etc. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Walter P Moore is an international company of engineers, architects, innovators, and creative individuals who tackle complex structural and infrastructure challenges worldwide.
