Senior Engineer I- Piping (MTO)

As a Piping Materials Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the creation, maintenance, and evaluation of data sheets for valves and piping special items. Your role will involve collaborating with various engineering disciplines and suppliers to ensure the quality and compliance of piping components on large capital projects in the oil & gas industry, including refineries and petrochemicals. Your key responsibilities will include creating and maintaining data sheets, assisting with piping bulk material requisitions, and reviewing supplier offers to perform technical bid evaluations. You will also be required to conduct technical assessments, recommend solutions when necessary, and approve supplier documentation post purchase order placement. Additionally, you will liaise with different engineering disciplines and assist in the preparation of technical work practices to ensure consistent working methods. To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering along with a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably with at least 5 years in EPCM multinational companies. Knowledge of codes such as B31.1 Power Piping, B31.2 Fuel Gas Piping, and B31.3 Process Piping is essential, as well as a detailed understanding and proven application of all aspects of Piping Materials. Keeping abreast of the latest technology for piping materials and investigating their technical acceptability will also be part of your responsibilities.
