Support Section Head Reliability Electrical in planning, organizing, and ensuring deployment of maintenance practices for all electrical transformer and switchgear equipment to contribute to equipment availability, reliability, and operational efficiency, with a focus on development of capabilities for electrical engineers, budgets, and cost optimization measures.
Improve reliability through Continuous Improvement techniques, up-gradation, projects, and implementation of advanced diagnostic and online condition monitoring techniques.
Transformer and switchgear system design engineering review and commissioning.
Provide engineering support, engineering assessment, engineering design, troubleshooting, and root cause failure analysis to T&S Power system for safe and reliable operation.
Provide engineering expertise support for project development, factory acceptance testing and inspections, and site acceptance testing of electrical equipment.
Periodic monitoring of performance and benchmarking of transformer and switchgear electrical equipment.
Review various power system reliability studies and prepare power system models through ETAP.
Maintain 33kV, 11kV, 6.6kV, 3.3kV, and 415V switchgear protection schemes, protection relay settings, and relay coordination.
Familiarity with advanced numerical protection relays and their functionality, including setting and parameterization.
Preparation of site maintenance budgeting and optimization of resources and spares.
Conduct periodic audits to identify gaps and ensure operation and maintenance practices adhere to Group Standards and Best Maintenance Practices.
Maintain IMS documentation.
Implement Group guidelines and LFIs for reliability improvement. Incorporate significant reliability shared lessons learned into Engineering Technical Procedures.
