Senior Engineer - Electrical Maintenance Department

Role & responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of HPDC machines (LK machines, Toshiba, ) and CNC machines (VMC, HMC, SPMs).
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in electrical panels, PLC systems, servo drives, VFDs, and hydraulic/pneumatic control circuits. • Handle maintenance of robots (ABB, Kawasaki, FANUC), Gas furnaces, chillers, cooling towers, DG sets, and compressors. • Troubleshoot control and power wiring issues for automation and auxiliary equipment.

2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Prepare and implement PM and calibration schedules for HPDC and CNC machines.
  • Conduct thermography, insulation resistance testing, and contactor health checks. • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and maintain updated maintenance records.

3. Electrical Projects & Upgrades

• Support in installation, commissioning, and validation of new HPDC and machining equipment.
  • Modify and optimize PLC logic and HMI parameters to enhance productivity. • Lead energy-saving and automation improvement projects. • Coordinate with OEMs for upgrades and control modifications.

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain documentation for electrical panels, single-line diagrams (SLD), and machine wiring layouts.
  • Ensure compliance with CEIG norms, NABL testing, and ISO/TS/IEC standards. • Record equipment downtime and generate maintenance reports for analysis.

5. Team & Coordination

• Guide technicians in fault diagnosis and safe maintenance practices.
  • Coordinate with mechanical and production teams for quick problem resolution. • Support in training operators on basic electrical safety and machine operation.

• PLC & Drives: Siemens, Mitsubishi, Delta, Inovance
  • Servo Systems: Fanuc, Yaskawa, Inovance • HPDC Machine Controls: Shot monitoring, Die temperature control, lubrication & safety interlocks • CNC Control Systems: Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi • SCADA, sensors, relays, contactors, VFD tuning, and electrical schematics • Industrial power distribution systems, LT/HT panels, and earthing systems • Safety systems and statutory compliance knowledge • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

Preferred candidate profile

Die- casting & Automobile Experience is most preferable.
