Senior Engineer - Cost and Value Engineering (BU-CRS)

As a Cost & Value Engineer at Liebherr CMCtec India Private Limited in Pune, India, your main responsibility will be to introduce, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes in the CRS area, specifically focusing on Pump/Injector components. You will be in charge of process control to ensure manufacturing costs are optimized while maintaining high product quality in machining environments. Additionally, you will evaluate manufacturing facilities to enhance the supply chain's efficiency, analyze cross-departmental manufacturing cost changes, and monitor the development of new systems and technologies. Your role will also involve developing Make or Buy concepts to implement the most cost-effective solutions, calculating Greenfield and Brownfield costs for machined parts and assemblies, and tracking costs at the platform level. By conducting portfolio analysis, you will compare planned, target, and actual costs to identify areas for potential cost savings. You will serve as the single point of contact for the local entity, ensuring control exclusively via central CCR. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Graduation or Post Graduation degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. With 5-10 years of professional experience in Cost & Value Engineering, you should have expertise in cost calculations for high-volume production parts, particularly in the automotive industry. Proficiency in manufacturing turned and milled parts is essential for this role. Preferred skills for this position include in-depth knowledge of CAD/CAM programming for turning and milling parts, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and experience working with special materials.
