Senior Engineer - CFD Flow Simulation

As a CFD Simulation Engineer for Volvo Powertrain Engineering at Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT), you will play a crucial role in contributing to the transformation of the company, the transport industry, and society at large. Your responsibilities will include: - Implementing innovative ideas and driving simulation and virtual development - Collaborating with the Flow Simulation group to develop and simulate advanced methods for fuel agnostic powertrains - Minimizing testing while focusing on reducing fuel consumption and enhancing emission compliance - Analysing simulation results, recommending improvements, and designing solutions for Exhaust Aftertreatment System (EATS) CFD flow models - Performing concept studies and cooperating with colleagues to deliver the best results to projects/internal customers - Taking an active part in continuous improvements within Powertrain Engineering To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Extensive experience in CFD simulations, preferably with Star CCM+ or equivalent commercially used CFD simulation tools, and geometry preparation using ANSA - BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Chemical Engineering with relevant experience in CFD simulation & analysis - Good knowledge of EATS, EATS system development, and combustion engine technology development - Strong ability to work in cross-functional teams as well as independently - Excellent communication and coordination skills - Strong commitment to deliver on time with consistent and strict adherence to quality - Structured way of working - Proven independence, proactivity, and continuous improvement mindset - Proficiency in English, both written and spoken - Knowledge in java/python/MATLAB will be a plus In addition to the exciting work you will be involved in, Volvo Group offers a solid compensation and benefits package.
