Senior Engineer - CFD Flow Simulation

As a CFD Simulation Engineer for Volvo Powertrain Engineering at Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT), you will play a vital role in contributing to the transformation of the company, the transport industry, and society at large. Your responsibilities will include implementing innovative ideas, driving simulation and virtual development, and collaborating with your team to make impactful changes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop Exhaust Aftertreatment System (EATS) CFD flow models - Analyze simulation results, recommend improvements, and design solutions - Perform concept studies and cooperate with colleagues to deliver the best results to projects/internal customers - Drive simulation and virtual development to minimize testing and focus on reducing fuel consumption and enhancing emission compliance Qualifications Required: - Extensive experience in CFD simulations, preferably using Star CCM+ or equivalent commercially used CFD simulation tools - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Chemical Engineering with relevant experience in CFD simulation & analysis - Good knowledge of EATS, EATS system development, and combustion engine technology development - Strong ability to work in cross-functional teams and independently - Excellent communication and coordination skills - Strong commitment to deliver on time with consistent adherence to quality - Proficient in English, both written and spoken - Knowledge in java/python/MATLAB will be a plus At Volvo Group, you will be offered a solid compensation and benefits package, along with the opportunity to work with highly skilled colleagues in an exciting global environment that fosters professional and personal development.
