Job Description

Job Summary:
Electrical Engineer with experience on FEED, proposal & detailed engineering preferably in an EPC industry for Manufacturing units, Data centers and Buildings/utility projects. Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices.

Major Responsibilities:

Develop, review and approve key engineering drawings and calculations, and design documents.
Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly.
Coordinates electrical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups.
Maintains contact with client representatives as directed, with suppliers, appropriate field personnel and other disciplines to ensure the coordination of the work within the project or assignment and compliance with Bechtel/client requirements.
Supervises the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, specialists, designers and drafters.

Education and Experience Requirements:

A recognized degree in electrical engineering, from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience.
Site experience will be an added advantage.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of main single line diagram, protection & metering diagrams, relay setting & protection coordination of the system, UPS sizing, cable sizing, Grounding.
In-depth knowledge of Electrical system studies using ETAP software and conversant with shortcircuit, load flow & motor starting.
Should have worked on equipment sizing, specifications,MR preparation, technicalbid evaluation and vendorprint reviews of various electrical equipment like HV GIS, Busduct, Switchgear,MCCs, Transformers, DC systems / UPS, Cables.
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems related to equipment like HVAC, Chilled Water Systems, Condenser Water Systems, Pump controls, Glycol/Glycols, AHU units (DX, split, RTU, CRAC, etc.), CRAH, Raised Floor Systems, HOT/COLD aisle containment.
Interface of Building Power Management which includes controlling and monitoring of Buildings mechanical and electrical equipment such as HVAC, lighting, power systems, fire systems, access control and security systems.
Should be conversant with electrical layouts like Substation Equipment, raceways, lighting, grounding & lightning protection, etc.
Review of 3D Model Autodesk Revit using SPR or Navisworks, Model Reviews with Client.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
