Senior Electrical Design Engineer

You are a Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer specialized in PCB Design Engineering, sought after by a top 5 industrial AI startup in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Your pivotal role involves designing and analyzing cutting-edge AI-based industrial products to meet international standards of robustness and reliability. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, simulating, and prototyping analog and digital circuits for industrial applications. You will collaborate closely with firmware and mechanical teams to deliver integrated hardware solutions. Testing and debugging will be crucial to ensure adherence to industry standards, while also optimizing designs for cost and performance efficiency. Staying abreast of the latest electronic component advancements is integral to your role, alongside developing hardware schematics and Bills of Materials (BOM) using EDA tools. Additionally, you will conduct worst-case analysis to guarantee the reliability of your hardware designs and review PCB layouts for thermal management and EMI/EMC compliance. Your role will extend to collaborating with the functional safety team on FMEDA activities, performing hardware functional testing, and troubleshooting issues arising from EMI/EMC, thermal, and electrical testing. Your expertise will require a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in hardware design, with a focus on analog and digital electronics, including experience with DC/DC converters, Op-Amps, and critical analog circuits. You should possess a deep understanding of EMI/EMC considerations and their impact on hardware design and performance, as well as proven expertise in worst-case analysis for hardware reliability across various operating conditions. Strong communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude towards challenges are essential soft skills that will complement your technical proficiency. Your ability to work effectively in team environments, engage with clients and stakeholders, and deliver high-quality results will be highly valued.
